No lifting at all. This is the first time EVER that I have been able to wear my hair in a ponytail and not be afraid that is was lifting. Glue or Adhesive Strips

I am buying a lace front wig today and I have never had one and have a few questions. First a little background. I have serrobic dermatitis which causes oily scaly flakes on my scalp. It occurs when you’re hair produces oil and it does not go down the hair shaft because of the texture of my hair. So it builds up on the scalp. I have special shampoo I must use at least 3 times a week I only use it once. Being black that mush washing is really hard on my hair. I have a foam that I have to apply daily or at least every few days to keep the dandruff manageable. I wear my hair natural because perms are really bad on my hair with this condition. I want to grow my hair out its shoulder length now..I want it past the shoulders. People say lace fronts aren’t good for growing out hair but I plan on wearing the wig a little above my hairline to minimize damahe. How long does the glue and Adhesive Strips last? How strong are they? Can I. Brush my hair or pull it back without the wig falling off? Also how long would a sythetic good quality wig last. It is made from fiber that u can curl and style. Also should u wash the wig where the adhesive is applied?

I have three concerns with your question. In our salon we would never advise you glue your wig down at all. I am quite familiar with your scalp condition and because the oils from your scalp will stay on your scalp oil the will stay close to your glue line. This means your glue line will be compromised, this can cause premature lifting. My second concern is the solution you use on your scalp to promote your scalps health are far more important than a lace wig conditions such as yours can easily turn into a scalp infection without proper attention. My third concern is a lace wig should NEVER be shampooed while on the head. The reason is shampoo holds soil until it is washed away, so if some dirt or oil or even dead skin gets trapped under your wig this could cause Hair loss in a big way. I’m not saying don’t get the wig I’m just thinking you should go with a glue-less application. I hope this helps you.
