Hey dolls and gents!! Some of you wanted me to review one of Friday Night Hair’s Remy lace fronts, so I choose FNH19. She is a 16 in. Spanish Wave Indian Remy lace front wig. She has 3 combs in the front (NO comb in the back) and an adjustable strap in the back. There is swiss lace on the front AND back of this unit. The color is a 1B (off-black color). This unit can be worn curly, straighten, curled…its natural curls will revert back even after straightening! Very little shedding and tangling. She is a nice lace front wig. I definitely would recommend her especially if you like BIG hair. She can be worn big (curly natural state) or sleek (straightened). Hey everyone. I was wearing my extensions and I thought why not make a video showing you how to wear your hair extensions and how to care for them properly. I only wear my hair extensions in the winter because like I said in the video, for me it’s too hot to wear them in the summer. I know this is a really long video but it is filled with important information. I hope that you all enjoy this video and you find it helpful of course. Enjoy!

My Tips:

Tip #1 – When buying hair extensions make sure to match them to your NATURAL hair colour, not to your dyed hair colour because once the dye fades your extensions will look completely noticeable.

Tip #2 – Also, when you are purchasing your extensions make sure to get them one or two inches longer than you originally wanted them because once they are in your hair they look a lot shorter.

Tip #3 – If you are going to get hair extensions try to get real human hair ones. Synthetic Hair Extensions look more noticeable in your hair and they break really easily. In the long run if you have human hair extensions they will last you so much longer and they look a lot better and more natural.

Tip #4 – Once you have bought your extensions go to a hair stylist and get them cut. You don’t need to cut the length just cut your side pieces cut so they will frame your face and look a lot more natural.

Tip #5 – Use at least four pieces in your hair. Use two around the head, make sure they are spaced out by at least an inch. Also, use one piece of each side of your head so they give you extra volume and they blend everything together.

Tip #6 – When you are sewing on the clips double up the strands of hair so it looks thicker and it will blend it so much better. If you have super thick hair you will have to use a lot of pieces.

Tip #7 – ALWAYS use a heat protectant, always. This will ensure that your real hair and extensions are protected from the heat of a flat iron or a curling iron. Heat protectants also prevent split ends and breakage.

Tip #8 – When curling your extensions use a larger one for the whole head and then use a smaller curling iron for the front pieces so it frames your face and blends everything.

Tip #9 – When your clipping in the hair extensions make sure to back comb where the clips will be placed. This will make them feel less heavy and make them a lot more comfortable. Extensions can give you headaches if they are pulling on your hair and back combing will eliminate this problem!

Tip #10 – Try not to use a lot of hairspray when your wearing the extensions. Human hair extensions hold curls extremely well and they can be used about four or five times before they need to be re-curled. If you feel like they have lost their shape just touch up a couple pieces.

Tip #11 – Wash your extensions every month or two with a gentle shampoo and conditioner. Rise them out very well and comb them out with a wide tooth comb. Allow them to dry, mine take anywhere between 24-48 hours.

I know this might seem like a lot of steps and things to memorize but once you practice everything you will have it down in no time!

Many people fear baldness, both male and female. Many of them check their basin for hair after shampooing.

But in reality our hair naturally loses about 50-100 hairs a day. The hairs removed often stays on our head. So when we take a shower the already fallen hairs end up in the basin, truth is this hair had been shed before we showered.

It is really hard to tell if you are beginning to lose your hair. Bald spots may be one of the signs but there is no assurance for it. However, there is a way to find out if your hair is starting to thin.

Hold about 15-20 strands of hair using your thumb and index finger. Pull it firmly and slowly. If more than 6 hairs were removed, that means your hair is starting to thin. This method is called “Tug test”.

Hair loss is generally experienced in adulthood. But in some cases among teenagers as well. If this is the case, it is a big warning that something is going wrong. Hair loss in adolescence is usually caused by illness or improper nutrition.

Some caused by medical treatments, like chemotherapy. Wearing hairstyles that pulls hair also causes it, like braids, because there is a tension on it. For some people hair-loss is a big worry especially for the ones that care about their appearance. The good news is, in adolescence it is really not happening that often.

Once the causes were corrected, hair usually grows back. I have heard different assumptions of people about hair-loss which are mistakes. When you brush your hair about 100 times it will be stimulated. It might only cause your hair injury.

Hairs don’t breath. They get their oxygen from our blood in our scalps. Hair gets damaged only because of wig or caps if it is too tight. Frequent shampooing of your hair will not shed it. Hair that is removed by shampooing is hair that is already fallen out.

We must take care of our hair in a proper way to prevent hair-loss. If the hair regardless of how we take care of it still falls of then we have to reach for the treatment.
One ingredient in many hair loss treatment products is minoxidil.Studies have shown that in about 80% of the participants, products containing this ingredient are effective in slowing hair loss and, in some, causing regrowth to occur.

Probably the most well known is Rogaine, available at any drug store, in varieties for both men and women. .An additional product containing minoxidil is Provillus, and, again, studies have shown it to be effective.

The difference between Provillus and other similar products is that the makes have added Azelaic Acid, an additional ingredient which appears to enhance the follicle repair in both men and women.

Provillus has been the subject of many studies, just as the other products, and level of effectiveness may be higher. Provillus treatment is a combination of a topical liquid applied to the balding areas, as well as a pill or capsule to be taken in conjunction with the liquid.

As with most Hair loss products, the makers recommend patience. It may take from 3-6 months for improvement to occur.
